The Parable of the Mustard Seed and the Leaven

Passage: MT 13:31-33

Description:
The picture sounds so beautiful: The small mustard seed becomes so great a plant that even the birds can nest in its branches.

And what does the Lord want to teach us about leaven? He tells the disciples, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees, and of Herod.” (Matt 16:6, Mark 8:15).

May the Lord open our hearts to behold wonderful things from His Word, that we may live and keep His Word. (Ps 119:17-18).
